Vehicle Speed Test ("we", "us", "our") operates the website vehiclespeedtest.net (the "Service"). This page describes what data we collect, what we don't, and how it's used.

Your GPS location

The speedometer asks for permission to access your device's location through the browser's standard Geolocation API. This data is read by the page and used only to calculate your current speed, distance, and trip statistics in real time on your device. Your location is never transmitted to our servers — we don't have a server for it. Closing the tab discards the data.

Analytics

We may use a lightweight, privacy-friendly analytics service to count page visits and understand which features are popular. Where used, analytics is anonymous, never includes your GPS coordinates, and respects browser Do Not Track and EU consent rules.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local storage entries — for example, to remember your dark/light theme preference. We do not use cookies for advertising profiling.

Third parties

If we ever introduce third-party services such as ad networks or embedded widgets, we will update this policy and disclose what data those parties receive. As of the date above, no third-party advertising is in use.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone in this age group.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
